Education, Genealogy, Languages & Writing Books

Welcome to the Education Genealogy, Languages & Writing catalogue. This directory contains books devoted to education, beginning with 'Education by Plays and Games' and ending with a serious dissertation.
Here you will find books explaining what education is and how to learn properly to get the best results. Education is a purposeful cognitive activity for people to acquire knowledge, skills or to improve them. It is the process where a person assimilates a certain system of scientific knowledge, practical skills, moral and aesthetic culture. This combines with their cognitive creativity that in their totality determine the social personality and individual identity of the person.

It is a discipline for studying teaching and learning methods in schools or similar institutions as opposed to various informal means of socialization (for example, between parents and their children). Therefore, education can be understood as the transfer of knowledge accumulated by society to the younger generation for the development of cognitive abilities, as well as the acquisition of skills for practical application of general and professional knowledge.

Education is designed to give the new generation an up-to-date knowledge of culture, shaping their behavior in adulthood and helping them to choose a possible role in society. In the broader sense of the word, education is a process or product which incorporates "... the formation of the mind, character, or physical abilities of the individual ... In the technical sense education is the process by which society through its schools, colleges, universities and other institutions purposefully imparts its cultural heritage - accumulated knowledge, values and skills - from one generation to the next, “between generations.” In recent decades, scientific expertise in education in the form of “pedagogical audit” has become widespread in Western countries: "Psychological and pedagogical expertise", "comprehensive humanitarian expertise" and so on.

Education may consist of teaching reading, writing, mathematics, history, and other sciences. At universities and other higher education institutions lecturers teach astrophysics, law, geography, medicine or zoology for example. There is the teaching of professional skills, such as driving. In addition to formal education, there is also self-learning either in special institutions or through the Internet, reading, visiting museums or personal experiences.
