Over the years, the influence of Buddhism faded, and in the 1st century AD. Hinduism developed again. Due to frequent raids from Central Asia, the state was divided into several kingdoms, including Indo-Greek, Indo-Parthian, Indo-Scythian. The period from the 3rd to the 6th centuries is considered the "golden age" of India. AD, when the Gupta dynasty came to power. It was during this period that the canons of national architecture, art, and literature were developed.
