Book description
The adventure of life – is a book written by Robert William Mackenna, British physician and novelist, and published in 1919.
This book was written by the author during the First World War.
The indomitable logic of facts led the author to the conclusion that behind everything and above all there is a reasonable and beneficial Mind, immanent in the nature and life of man.
If this is true, people have every reason to welcome the future with joyful confidence.
The chapters that follow have been written in the hope that they will help illuminate a ray of light, however weak, the clouds of bewilderment that surround many sincere seekers of truth.
The book is neither a scientific monograph, nor a philosophical treatise, and everyone will easily understand it.
As much as possible, the author has tried to avoid using technical terms.
The author's goal was to impress everyone who wants to read the miracle and harmony of life, as well as the complete interdependence that exists between all forms of life.
The author believes that the goal of Nature is Life; the goal of Life is the development of Intelligence, and the goal of Intelligence is the cognition of God.

I had read several good reviews for this book by people whose opinions I trust so I expected that I would like it too. I was surprised by how much I liked it and how very readable it was!
