Later treatises of S. Athanasius, Archbishop of Alexandria: with notes, and an appendix on S. Cyril of Alexandria and Theodoret

Book description
Athanasius I of Alexandria was a Saint of the Orthodox and Catholic Churches, one of the Greek Church Fathers, who belonged to the Alexandrian school of patristism.
Archbishop of Alexandria, successor to Bishop Alexander.
He was known as the chief defender of Trinitarianism against Arianism.
By 350, he remained the only non-Arian bishop in the eastern half of the Roman Empire.
Because of his relentless opposition to the influential Arian clergy and the four emperors, he was expelled several times from the pulpit, because Athanasius of Alexandria was known as "Athanasius contra mundum".
For the design and completion of the translation of these Treatises of St. Athanasius, with careful and detailed notes, the remaining editor is indebted to his friend the Reverend Doctor Bright, Remus Professor of Church History and the Canon of Christ Church, whose name will guarantee their accuracy.
Thanks to Almighty God, Who enriched our literature with eight later treatises of the benefactor St. Athanasius.
