Violin Playing as I Teach It

Violin playing as I teach it - is a book, which was published in 1921 and written by Leopold Auer, violinist of Jewish origin, conductor, composer, and teacher. He is also known as the founder of the Russian violin school. This book is the fruit of the author's own experience as a violinist and violin teacher, in the hope of being of interest to those who are interested in the topic itself. In the following pages, the author has tried, as far as he could, to give the serious teacher and student the practical benefit of the knowledge he has acquired during a long life devoted to playing and learning the violin. Here the author tried not only to clarify his ideas and ideals regarding art, but also to explain the mechanical means and techniques that he himself used to develop his students, in the hope and faith that it can be useful to all students who sincerely and honestly strive to master this beautiful instrument is the violin. All advice and conclusions are all the result of the author's personal experience and they are all verified by years of experiments and observations.
