The World's Book; Or, Key to Spiritual Life: Thoughts and Suggestions on Spiritual Manifestations, or Extracts from the Private Journal of an American Lady

The purpose of this book is to shed light on the spiritual manifestations of the day and to help honest seekers of spiritual knowledge by giving them the key that unlocks the secret of the power of evil over the human mind and opens wide the door to spiritual life, to those who enter to explore this mine of truth and are ready to work to separate the slag from the gold for the sake of the gold itself; wheat from the chaff for wheat; thereby separating evil from good, obeying the law of spiritual life. Both combine when taken in their natural state, in the human soul, and also in the field or mine. The author feels great embarrassment when she gives that part of the manuscript illustrating the law governing manifestation, which relates to her private life. The nature of the instruction is so adapted and mixed with personal study and circumstance, more or less in all of these writings, that she does not know how to separate them and do justice to the subject. She tried to completely suppress those chapters on angelic ministry and much of the instruction to her on how to become an instrument of good.
