Book description
Some poems by Alfred Lord Tennyson – is a collection of poems written by Alfred Tennyson, an English poet and published in 1901.
He was the most prominent exponent of the sentimental-conservative worldview of the Victorian era, the favorite poet of Queen Victoria, who gave him the honorary title of poet laureate and the title of baron.
This collection includes more than twenty poems.
Among the poems there are such as: Mariana, The Ballad of Oriana, A Dream Of Fair Women, Godiva, Sir Galahad, The Day-Dream and others.
Also this is an illustrated edition with account of wood engravings and photogravures by William Holman Hunt, an English painter and one of the founders of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, and Joseph Pennell, an American artist and author.
