My Quest of the Arab Horse

Book description
My quest of the Arab horse – is a travelogue which was published in 1909 and written by Homer Calvin Davenport, an American writer and political cartoonist.
Davenport was one of the pioneers of major American Arabian horse breeders, as well as one of the founders of the Arabian Horse Club of America.
This book was not written with the idea that it will supplement the literature.
In fact, souvenirs were not the main purpose of the author's trip to the Syrian Desert.
The author's goal was only one thing: to obtain Arab mares and stallions of absolute purity of blood, which, as he could determine, came from the great Bedouin tribe Anezeh.
It was the author's obsession with the trip.
He had a deep interest in Arabian horses for years before he actually learned anything about them.
The information available in the United States about them was confusing; the alleged authorities contradicted each other in all arguments; it seemed to the author that he needed to go to the house of an Arab horse and there to learn about it from his owner, a Bedouin.
The book is also decorated with many photographs and illustrations drawn by the author himself.
