Published in 1918, this book is dedicated to the centenary of the founding of Brooks Brothers, one of the oldest brands of menswear in the United States. In the United States, it is rare enough for a business house to complete a 100-year cycle to warrant its centenary celebration in this comparatively pennant form. Kindly curiosity has often been shown about the history and traditions of the Brooks Brothers house, which shows that many are mistaken about the real age and structure of the institution, as well as the authenticity of the simple facts that largely link it to the history and development of the city in which it grew and flourished.
