Bahai the spirit of the age

Bahai the spirit of the age – is a book which was published in 1921 and written by Horace Holley, a prominent follower of the Baháʼí Faith. The new translation of the old classics contains one very significant change. A prophetic passage previously interpreted as "the end of the world" now reads as "the end of the age." In this sense, the world has really come to an end in our days - the foundations of a new era, a new civilization, a new science and a new faith were visibly laid. The inspiration of this new era for many people in all parts of the world has one source, one password, one riddle: the Bahá'í name. The Bahá'í word is like a multi-faceted gem, like a fountain with many jugs, like a mansion with many rooms. For some, this means a set of principles necessary for world peace, economic stability, for the true progress of science and art. For others, Bahá'ís means the privilege of belonging to an active movement already spreading in the United States, Canada, Europe and much of the East; a movement that promotes the ideals of camaraderie and service regardless of race, creed, nationality or class. Still others feel in the Bahá'í word the reality, the completion of the Sermon on the Mount, the return of Divine Love in order to raise humanity from its animal state to the level of conscious spirituality. Behind this word for many is also a glorious Presence, a Divine Being, whose name sounds like this: The Glory of God. These people feel this Presence as the controlling force behind every event of this time. Thus, the Bahá'ís are the cause of a new spirit of awe and devotion, written as it is written in the Bible, the World Bible, manifested in cosmic sayings that bring together those who seem to be the core of a future spiritual race.
