Frank Sherman Benson was a numismatist and collector based in Brooklyn, New York. This is the first volume of this series dedicated to coins of ancient Greece. Various coins of ancient Greece are described and depicted here. The book contains a description of exactly how the ancient Greeks minted coins. There is a detailed written description of a particular coin. Historical summaries are provided regarding coins from different historical periods. There are also photographs of ancient Greek coins that have survived to present day.
