Book description
About the Book
Explicit theology naturally falls into four main divisions: exegetical, historical, systematic, and practical. By exegetical theology we include all sciences that are relevant to the exposition and elucidation of Scripture; Historical theology begins with a sacred history and includes what has been developed in the Church in the form of church history and doctrine history; Practical theology encompasses the theory of Church activity, which is practiced in particular by the pastor and teacher; but in systematic theology, we have the highest form of theological science. It is a scientific and related exposition of Christian doctrine in its relation to both faith and morality and includes sciences such as apologetics, dogmatics, and ethics. Our later theologians distinguish between biblical theology and dogma. Biblical theology aims to present the religious ideas and doctrines contained in the Bible and is a purely historical discipline, and as such belongs to the department of historical theology. On the other hand, Christian dogma or dogmatic theology is a historical-philosophical science in which the results of historical exegesis are combined and systematized. He uses the results of biblical theology as a material for construction. This is the sum of the truths contained in the Christian faith in their organic connection with the facts of religious truth. This is the science of oh in which Christian affection and Christian life are great art. He has no other purpose than teaching the Christian religion, since it is affirmed in the experimental consciousness of the believer, to reproduce it spiritually and bring it into a scientific systematic form for the determination and development in all directions of its divinely created facts in Jesus Christ.
