An Introduction to Chemical Analysis – is a book published in 1904 and written by Elbert William Rockwood. He was an American professor of chemistry and toxicology. First of all, this book is intended for students of medicine, pharmacy and dentistry. Although the importance of chemical analysis as such is likely to always be small, its points of contact with other subjects of the medical program are so numerous that, if done correctly, it not only stimulates interest in one's own studies, but also provides an opportunity to master knowledge over other branches that cannot be achieved in no other way. The chemical incompatibility of medicinal substances is so closely related to their chemical reactions that for their reasonable use a thorough acquaintance with the latter is necessary.
