An authentic account of our authorized translation of the Holy Bible and of the translators – is a work written by Henry John Todd and published in 1838. Henry John Todd was an English clergyman, scholar and librarian. He is also known as an editor of John Milton. This book is a long-term work of the author. This work consists of three chapters and first of them is: The Instructions of King James the First for the Translation of the Holy Bible, which is called the Authorized Translation (first published in the year 1611). The second one is: The Translators of our Authorized Version of the Holy Bible. The third is: Authorities respecting our Received Translation of the Bible. The appendix is also attached: The King's Letter to the Bishop of London, communicated by that Bishop to the Archbishop of Canterbury, upon the subject of our Authorized Bible.
