Richard Harding Davis
Richard Harding Davis (1864 to 1916) was an American journalist who authored fiction and drama, and became famous as the first American war correspondent to cover the Spanish–American War, the Second Boer War, and the World War I. A supporter of the political career of Theodore Roosevelt, he played a significant role in the development of the American magazine. He was a leader in the world of fashion, making the clean-shaven look popular with men around the turn of the 20th century.
