Myron Zobel

Born in Los Angeles, Zobel traveled the world filming many motion pictures in numerous locations. Widely known as “Global Zobel”, in addition to his film producing he wrote three books, the last being “Global Cuisine,” which recalls the recipes of famous restaurants he frequented around the world. The other two books were “Fourteen-Karat Trailer” and “Benvinido Cellini.” A member of the Harvard Club and the Explorers Club of New York, he was an accomplished bridge player. During the Second World War, he wasemployed in the radio division of theUS Bureau of Ships. There he developed the "controlled material plan" which controlled production of all products that used copper, steel or aluminum.
