Milo M. Quaife

Milo Milton Quaife (1880 to1959) was a historian who specialized in writing about the Michigan and the Great Lakes region. Born in Nashua, Iowa, he received his education at Grinnell College, University of Missouri and at the University of Chicago. He later headed the Wisconsin Historical Society and was secretary-editor of the Detroit Public Library's Burton Collection. Quaife became a lecturer at both Wayne State University and the University of Detroit, and also served as editor of the Lakeside Classics historical series between 1916 and 1957.
