M. Pierre Laffitte
Pierre Laffitte ( Béguey , February 21, 1823- Paris , January 4, 1903) was a French positivist philosopher. He was born in Béguey on 21 February 1823. Attracted by the thought of Auguste Comte in the 1840s, was his pupil, and, after the death of Comte in 1857, became director of the orthodox positivist school. He was editor since 1878 of La Revue occidentale.Laffitte, who was one of the academics present on the list of the League of the French Homeland , antidreyfusard organization , died on January 4, 1903 at his home at number 126 Rue d'Assas.
