Lloyd Bryce
Lloyd Stevens Bryce (September 4, 1851 - April 2, 1917) was the US representative from New York and the famous editor of the magazine. Lloyd Bryce was born in Flushing, New York, on September 4, 1851. His father, Joseph Smith Bryce (1808-1901), graduated from the US Military Academy in his class in 1829, Robert E. Lee was second and served second. Lloyd’s sister was Clemens Smith Bryce (1847-1908), who married Nicholas Fish (1846-1902), the U.S. ambassador to Switzerland and Belgium, and was Mother Hamilton Fish as the Union’s major in the Civil War defending Washington. 1873-1898). He was the nephew of John L. Stevens (1820-1895), US Secretary of State for the Kingdom of Hawaii. He studied at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and at Christ Church, Oxford, where he received his bachelor's and master's degrees. Bryce also studied at Columbia Law Institute.
