Lincoln Gould
Elizabeth Lincoln Gould (died 1914) authored childrens books and wrote plays, including plays based on the novels Little Women and Little Men by Louisa May Alcott. Gould grew up in Boston, where her father published and sold books. Numerous editions of Gould's books were published, including children's books, and she also composed song lyrics. Her book Cap'n Gid describes a retired ship's captain who moves from a rural retreat to the city for new life experiences.
