G. E. P. Arkwright
Godfrey Edward Pellew Arkwright (April 10, 1864 - August 16, 1944) was a British musicologist. Having been educated at Oxford, Arkwright was the editor of the Old English Edition, which contained masks, ballets, motets, madrigals, etc. by English composers of the 17th and 18th centuries, and was published in 25 volumes from 1889 to 1902. the founding editor of Musical Antiques, published quarterly from 1909 to 1913, and also edited church music by Henry Purcell in the Purcell Society edition, published between 1889 and 1902.
