Evelyn Underhill
Evelyn Underhill (6 December 1875 to 15 June 1941) was an Anglo-Catholic writer and pacifist who was famous for numerous works on religion and spiritual practice, particularly Christian mysticism, and was one of the most widely read authors writing on these issues in the first half of the 20th century. Only 1946 of Aldous Huxley's The Perennial Philosophy in 1946 was received as enthusiastically as Underhill's her best-known work, Mysticism, which was published in 1911.
