Alessandro Verri


Count Alessandro Verri (Italian: Alessandro Verri; November 9, 1741, Milan - September 23, 1816, Rome) - Italian historian, poet and writer. His first literary works were devoted to jurisprudence. He served in civilian roles and belonged to the literary circle of his older brother in Milan. This society helped him publish the magazine Café (Il Caffè). Around 1766, together with Beccaria, he visited Paris, where he met with philosophers, then London.
