This book is the second of twelve volumes dedicated to the works of William Shakespeare. This volume includes: The Comedy of Errors, Venus and Adonis, Lucrece and sonnets. The Comedy of Errors is one of the early William Shakespeare’s comedies. It was not published during the life of the writer and was first published in a posthumous folio. It is known that the comedy was already on stage until 1594. The Comedy of Errors is one of the writer's shortest plays (1777 lines) and the only one (with the exception of The Tempest) that is classified as a "classic". It observes the unity of time - all events take place on the same day - and, in a generalized sense, the unity of place - all events take place in one city. Venus and Adonis is an erotic poem written between 1592 and 1593 by William Shakespeare and first published in 1593. The plot goes back to Ovid's Metamorphoses. The poem has a complex kaleidoscopic structure, using changing tone and perspective to reflect different, opposing views on the essence of love. Lucrece - is an erotic poem written between 1593 and 1594 by William Shakespeare. The poem was dedicated to the Earl of Southampton, so the poem begins with a prose dedication addressed directly to him. The plot goes back to Ovid's Fasti. The poem shows guilt and the terrible consequences of uncontrolled love.
