The Society of Friends: Its Faith and Practice – is a book written by John Stephenson Rowntree, a reformer of the Quaker movement. The form of the next statement is largely determined by the nature of the audience to which its topic was first addressed. Usually there are representatives of three classes: Friends and those who attend their schools and meetings, members of other denominations, as well as people outside the Churches. To all of them, the author tried to explain the point of view of the Society of Friends and show that it still bears great importance, so necessary for its people, sister churches and the non-Christian world. Through the introduction of illustrative notes and memoranda, an attempt has been made to provide material for further investigation or consideration of points that are necessarily very briefly dealt with in such a broad area as the faith and practice of Friends.
