The garden that I love – is a collection of poems which was published in 1906 and written by Alfred Austin. He was an English journalist and poet. Also Alfred Austin was appointed Poet Laureate in 1896. An intimate and sincere love for nature was the most striking feature of Alfred Austin's poetry, as well as the best works of his prose. His prosaic idylls in The Garden I Love are full of pleasant open-air nature. His lyric poems are free of personality and spontaneity, but many of these poems have a simple, orderly charm, like an English country street.
