Twelfth Night – is a play, a five-act comedy by William Shakespeare, named after the twelfth night of the Christmas season. This is an acting edition of this Shakespeare's comedy with a producer's preface by Granville Barker. Granville Barker was an English actor, director, playwright and critic. His directorial career exploded with the famous productions of Shakespeare at the Savoy Theater: Twelfth Night and A Winter's Tale in 1912 and A Midsummer Night's Dream in 1914. He took these productions and removed all the classical sets, replacing them with symbolic ones, as well as the ensemble's performance.
