Book description

Irish witchcraft and demonology - it is St John Drelincourt Seymour's classic treatise on the demonic supernatural in Ireland. He was an Irish Anglican priest in the first half of the 20th century. In this treatise, he traces, describes and analyzes famous Irish witches and their careers. Irish witchcraft flourished in the 17th century and Saint John Seymour spends a lot of time explaining the most famous cases of that time. There is also a section on Irish-American witchcraft in the book. There are 9 chapters in this book, each of which, starting from second chapter, reveals a different time period in the history of Irish witchcraft. The first chapter is like an introduction to the subject and entitled “Some Remarks On Witchcraft In Ireland”.
