This book is a hunting essay by Theodore Roosevelt and is the second part of The Wilderness Hunter published in 1900. Theodore Roosevelt was an accomplished hunter as well as a prolific writer, which allowed him to colorfully describe his hunting exploits. There are 9 chapters in this book, each of which describes a separate story of the hunt. This includes stories such as hunting bison or American buffalo, black bear, grizzly bear, cougar, wolves, etc. All stories are based on the author's personal experience and are written in the first person, where he consistently tells the story of a particular hunt, along the way telling about the characteristics of the animal that was hunted.
